Yes, the people working in Punta Cana usually expect a small appreciation gesture , so make sure you change some money in order to have to tip around.
For example, you have to tip the employees working at your resort, the made that cleansthe room, the bartender, the waiters, the singers in the Restaurant. I gave 2$ to my made and she took very good care of us. Of course, that if u don't want to tip, don't tip. maybe someone doesn't deserve it, soo...don't.
