Do I have to learn Spanish before going to Punta Cana?(give a different answer) .
What can I say ? In the hotels, the staff speaks English, but the locals mostly speak Spanish; but they understand some words in English. So, if you want to get along with them it's not a bad idea to learn some Spanish expressions, at least to know how to ask the locals directions or for drinks and food :) hasta luego !
