If you are at the airport of Puerto Plata you can hire a taxi at the terminal. One way, from the airport to my hotel cost around 30 USD. I've been using around 2 taxi companies that provide services in Puerto Plata, one is called Taxi Puerto Plata, tel 5865335 and the other one is Taxi Station, tel 3207886.
